Forage Balancer® – Lactation

In an all grass dairy system it can be difficult finding a way to balance the challenges of lush pasture.

Recovering from calving, reaching peak production and starting to cycle places huge demands on the nutrient requirements for dairy cows.

Grass on its own simply cannot meet all these nutritional demands.  Low dry matter in spring, lack of magnesium, too much potassium or lack of protein in the summer are just some of the many issues that we have to manage with grass.

Forage Balancer® – Lactation allows you to meet more of your cows demands in a simple and cost effective manner and without needing significant infrastructure.

We can add Zinc on request.

Dose rate:

It’s so easy to use.

Simply pour the correct amount into a long open trough. You can use PK trailers, culvert pipes cut in half, make your own with timber or buy ready made troughs.

The key is to have lots of space for easy access, we recommend 30 – 50 cm for cattle and 5 – 10cm for sheep.

Ideally you would put out a daily dose but in situations where you're not there daily, like runoffs for example, you can put out 2 – 3 days at a time.
